6 Reasons Why Not to Surf in e-Motion Internet Station
e-Motion is an internet café located across Lifeline, Inc which is also beside Central Philippine University in Jaro, Iloilo. I’d wager my one month salary that no Centralian who wouldn’t recognize the said establishment. It was known for its affordable internet and gaming rental service. Before they implemented their new rates and charges, they were the cheapest internet station in Jaro with the rate of Php 15.00 for a couple of hours (so that’s like an hour free!). Students with meager allowance would surely delight in this pricing scheme not until they recently increased it to Php 12.00 per hour while most of the other internet cafes currently charges Php 15.00 per hour. Well, you’d say it’s still cheaper than these other internet stations. With their poor customer service and most of the time fluctuating internet connection, then other internet stations with far better ventilation sure deserve to be paid with just additional Php 3.00! I’m not the type of person who always complains about little things. I could tolerate little things and just go on with what I do, but not with the rudeness and tactless attitude of its cashiers! They sure do look and act that they’re being underpaid and this sure echoes on their poor customer service. Not because they’re dealing with students, they could just brush you off, rudely deal with you and always give you a frowning face. It’s okay if it happens once or twice but not always! That’s totally being unethical! So if they charge Php 12.00 per hour now, then I’d give you half of it, 6 reasons why not surf in this internet station with highly untrained and seems to be uneducated cashiers.
1.The cashiers are highly impolite! Smile has never existed in their vocabulary. They must have not realized that every customer that they maltreat is the one that pays for their wages. Ingrates and untrained.
2.Untrained in troubleshooting. When your computer bugs down, which would usually happen with their bugs-infested computer systems, you would rather fix it yourself than be assisted by an attendant who sure does not have any idea how to do it.
3.Slow service. You want your file be saved or copied to the computer you’re assigned to but it will take ages since they don’t know who to entertain first. Well I wouldn’t wonder because they don’t know what FIFO is— First In, First Out.
4.Slow internet connection. Buffering…buffering…buffering…and ages of buffering that almost half of your internet time has been consumed on buffering! Okay, for others who don’t watch YouTube, then I guess you’d agree with Loading…loading…loading. I thought they increased the price to better serve its customer? Then why on earth this problem still occurs?
5.Hellish ventilation. They’ve almost leveled their price to most internet stations, they must have improved or at least lay off some of their highly rude ‘customer assistants’ and replaced it with those who really know how to treat their customers properly. Or at least, added air conditioner units to make their customers comfortable. But look at that, nothing has changed! It’s still hellish with their cashiers being the devils.
6.All in all, the price increase is not worth it. The cashiers are still the impolite and substandard assistants I’ve ever encountered, especially Esther, who doesn’t know how to count and remember who has paid and who hasn’t. That’s the only thing they do, they aren’t dependable in troubleshooting, they should at least remember who has already paid and not.
So if you’re looking for a good internet station here in Iloilo or Jaro specifically, I would suggest that you would think not of the Php 3.00 difference because you could experience a way better service satisfaction in other internet cafes such as Palms Dale Internet Café, Third’s Internet Café, Virtual World and many others whose prices may range from Php 15-20 but their services and ventilation are way better. They also give discounts and promos to frequent users! You could sit down really comfortable, listen to the music in a much better setting and hey, I forgot to mention that eMotion doesn’t provide headsets whereas the latter internet cafes I mentioned sure do. So for a surely satisfactory internet surfing, don’t just consider the price but the service too!
